Our historic storm glass is regarded as the oldest barometer in the world. Recalling old time seafaring, each storm glass is hand blown and accurately forecasts changes in the weather hours in advance. Fill the barometer with colored water and watch the rising or falling level of the liquid in the vertical tube to indicate weather changes. A low water level signals fair weather while a high water level reveals poor weather conditions. Mounted on a mahogany lacquered wood plaque with detail moulding measuring 21” tall x 5½” wide. Includes a fahrenheit/centigrade thermometer, syringe for filling, and is easy to mount on any wall.
